QualitySolicitors Burroughs Day is a law firm with its roots firmly in the West Country – since 1829 when Benjamin G Burroughs practised law at 1 The Mall, Clifton, Bristol. We’ve come a long way since those days, developing over the years through amalgamation and internal growth.

Over the past 200 (or so) years we’ve earned a reputation as a progressive regional law practice with forward-thinking views on client service and staff development. In May 2010 the firm became a founding partner of the QualitySolicitors network of law firms. This gives all the advantages of a national legal brand, but we still remain an independent partnership with strong sense of our own identity.

Additionally, our particular expertise in some specialist areas – including Health & Social Care, Pharmacy, Medical Negligence, Mental Capacity, Inheritance and Employment - bring us clients from much further afield in England and Wales.

Nurturing our own talent within the firm is very important. We have a good track record in staff retention, and it is gratifying when solicitors progress to Associates and then Partners. Our lawyers are always encouraged to develop new skills and explore new markets. We often have vacancies for trainee solicitors and paralegals.

We are very proud of our Lexcel and Investors in People accreditations which we have held since 2000.

The firm is also ranked in both Chambers UK and Legal 500 and some of our lawyers are also featured as Leading Individuals in their fields.
